Ken Murtha:
My name is Ken and I was born and raised in Florida. I attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton FL and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. I was previously a Master Technician in the automotive industry. I have 5 boys and a beautiful wife Genavive. We enjoy spending time together outdoors, camping, traveling, and visiting close family. Fresh out of High School I attended trade school to learn Automotive Service Technology but realized automotive wasn’t my passion after trying multiple positions in the industry. I started with Corporate AWS in October of 2019 after being recruited by Sherrod Hunter and quickly realized the waste removal industry was what I wanted to build a career in. I knew immediately when the company was franchised, I was going to be a franchise owner and selected the Tallahassee area to be closer to family. I wanted the opportunity to bring the amazing services Junk Shot and Doorstep Details offer to a brand-new area and build a long-lasting positive impact in the Tallahassee area.
Kevin Murtha:
My Name is Kevin Sr and have lived in Florida since 1970.I started my first career with the Fire Department in Broward County Florida as a Firefighter Paramedic after serving in the US Navy and retired in 2015 from the department. In my career as a Firefighter Paramedic for 30 years, I have learned quite a few things that I can bring to my new career with AWS Junk Shot in the Tallahassee area. One of the biggest things I learned was teamwork so what better team to work with than my family. So, I have partnered with my sons and my daughter-in-law to create a family-run community-oriented franchised business to serve the Tallahassee area. We look forward to becoming a household name in Tallahassee and having a positive impact on the community.
Sarah Murtha:
I have lived in Florida since 2005 after growing up in a military family. I have worked in customer service, marketing, and have managed information systems for a distribution company with a combined experience of 20 years. I have been married for almost three years to my husband, Kevin Murtha Jr., and have three beautiful children, Kevin, Barbara, and Lila. I recently resigned from my career with Goldring Gulf to become a Domestic Engineer. We love spending time with our family, woodworking, crafting, and being spontaneous with our adventures. Becoming an AWS owner was not in the books for me until I saw the passion my brother-in-law Ken had for the business and I decided to get involved with something new and exciting. Helping, caring, and loving is what we do, and we want to bring these values to Tallahassee with Junk Shot and Doorstep Details! Family is important and we will bring that feeling to the table, every time.
